Withdrawal and Refunds: If a contestant must withdraw from a tournament due to a justifiable reason, please contact tournament staff. Withdrawal will be complete when you receive an e-mail confirmation of tournament withdrawal. Membership and tournament registration fees are non-refundable. Players who do not offer a justifiable reason for withdrawing before or during a tournament will be WDU (withdrawn – unjustified). Players who justifiably withdraw during a tournament will be DNC (did not complete). Failure of a player to show up for check-in and tee off who did not previously withdraw will be NS (no show). Justifiable reasons include verified injuries, illnesses, or other reasons approved by tournament staff.
Tournament Registration
To register online, follow these easy steps below:
  • Go to the “Register for an Event” page and choose from among the tournaments listed as available
  • Complete the registration form for each event for which you would like to register, and then click “Send”
  • Your credit card will be charged upon acceptance into the event, and you will receive an email confirmation with the receipt

 

JGTCC CODE OF CONDUCT
 
To be accepted as a member of the Junior Golf Tour of Central California, all juniors, parents/guardians/spectators agree to abide by the following: JGTCC Code of Conduct.All members must conduct themselves with a sportsmanlike manner. All JGTCC members will respect other players and their family members, and care for the tournament course by discarding litter in receptacles, replacing divots, and repairing ball marks.
 
Violations of the Code of Conduct
 
Any of the following actions by a JGTCC Junior member at any JGTCC event will results in immediate disqualification from the event and the member will be asked to leave the course:
 
  • Cheating
  • Throwing clubs
  • Not adhering to dress code
  • The use of banned electronic devices
  • Obscene, abusive, or vulgar language
  • Vandalism or abusive behavior to host property
  • Disrespect to volunteers, officials, or other competitors
  • Smoking or the use of non-prescription drugs, alcohol, chewing tobacco product
  • Failure of the player to check in within five minutes prior to assigned tee time or failure of the player to arrive at the designated start site by the tee time established by the JGTCC
  • The use of electronics such as cell phones, communications, and music player systems including I-pods, I-pads, tablets, notebooks, and MP3 players, among others
  • Using e-mail or any form of communication in a negative or abusive manner directed at other players, volunteers, officials, or staff of host properties.
 
Procedure for Code of Conduct Violations
 
It is the policy of the JGTCC to investigate and address all conduct violations, witnessed firsthand and reported by another member or staff, directly with the JGTCC member. Upon investigation, if the breach of the code of conduct is valid, the member will be immediately disqualified and asked to leave the course with a parent or legal guardian and will receive written communication about the disciplinary action that occurred with the member. Depending on the severity of the code of conduct violation, possible indefinite suspension of player’s membership may occur.
 
Appeal Policy
 
Players seeking reinstatement from suspension may appeal the decision only once during the calendar year by:Submitting a written request for reinstatement and/or appeal with any additional supporting information to the JGTCC Board within ten (10) days of notification of suspension.The JGTCC Board will consider the appeal and any additional information provided by the member as it relates to the violation and will render a written notice of decision within ten (10) days from the date the appeal was received. All decisions made by the JGTCC Board shall be final.
 
Dress Code
 
JGTCC members, parents, and spectators must adhere to the JGTCC Dress Code at all times at the host facility. Players in violation of the dress code will not be allowed to tee off. Parents and spectators in violation of the dress code may be asked to leave the facility. In addition to the dress code outlined below, prohibited dress includes denim and any clothing with offensive language or pictures, or any alcohol, tobacco or drug references. The Required Dress Code includes:
 
  • Any hats or visors must display the brim forward and hats must be removed while indoors
  • Collared shirts with sleeves are required to be worn and shirts must be tucked in at all times
  • Slacks, shorts, capri pants, and skirts must be have hems with no fraying, holes or tears
  • Golf shoes or athletic shoes must be spike-less or non-metal and worn at all times
  • Shorts and skirts must be no more than 6 inches above the knee
 
Distance Measuring Devices
 
Individual event staff will determine whether or not Distance Measuring Devices will be allowed during tournaments. If allowed at specific tournaments, a player may use a device that measures distance only and may not include devices otherwise used for communications (e.g. cellular phones).
 
Golf Rules
 
Tournament play is governed by the most current USGA Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and the policies and rules of the JGTCC as detailed in these sections. All questions, rules, and policy applications onsite shall be settled by the tournament committee, whose decisions are final.
 
Schedules And Conditions
 
Contestants will be notified of their registration acceptance and tee times via email. Contestants may be be placed on a waiting list based on the order in which registration requests and will receive waiting list status updates by email. Schedules and conditions are subject to change, and the JGTCC reserves the right to change any of the schedules and conditions herein.
 
Practice Rounds
 
Practice rounds prior to the first day of each tournament event may be arranged subject to the approval of the host facility. All practice rounds are at the contestant’s expense and not included in tournament fees.
 
ADA Cart Request Policy
 
The JGTCC tournament are all walking tournaments and the JGTCC will evaluate, on an individual case-by-case basis, any cart use requests for JGTCC tournament events due to a documented disability. Each contestant requesting the use a golf cart due to a qualifying disability under the ADA must complete and submit a written request to the JGTCC, at least four weeks prior to the event, that includes medical documentation signed by a physician setting forth the exact nature of the disability and how that disability prevents such contestant from walking the course. A disability under the ADA is “a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of such individual.” 42 U.S.C.S. §12102 (2001). A separate request is required for each tournament event. Requests should be faxed to (559)-438-6664.
 
Caddies, Pull Carts, and Spectator Carts
 
No caddies are allowed; non-powered pull carts are permissible, if not prohibited by the host course. Spectator carts are permitted by JGTCC in tournaments; however the cost and availability of carts are based on the fees and availability of the host course. Spectator cart fees are not included in tournament registration fees. Cart rental fees, rules, and availability restrictions are established at the discretion of the host facility.
 
Pace Of Play
 
Pace of play is in accordance with the USGA pace of play policy and local rules sheets reflecting the time your group is expected to complete each round. Contestants are expected to play efficient golf and keep their positions, and may not unduly delay play. Penalties for falling out of position or behind the pace of play will be determined at the discretion of the JGTCC, who has the authority to adjust the pace of play policy for all events. If you do not know how to proceed in a given situation, play a second ball and continue play. However, you must report the facts to the JGTCC. Penalty for not reporting is disqualification. Pace of play penalties may be appealed by the same rules as conduct violation appeals outlined above.
 
Deciding Ties
 
In the event of a tie for 1st place in any JGTCC event, a hole-by-hole playoff will occur until one contestant wins a hole. For the purposes of determining award only, ties other than for 1st place will be broken by matching scorecards, in accordance with the USGA Rules of Golf.
 
Scoring
 
  • The following procedures apply in all JGTCC conducted competitions:
  • All competitors will receive an official score card, and will exchange score cards with fellow competitors in the pairing, who will keep score for another player in the groupBegin keeping score for your fellow player, as well as your own
  • Verbally verify your fellow player’s score at the completion of each hole before it is written down, then record their score and your own score, in the designated places on the official scorecard
  • All score official scorecards must be correct, legible, and signed by both the player and the scorer
  • After stroke play, scorecards are signed immediately and witnessed by a tournament official in the designated scoring area; scores become official when a player leaves the scoring area
  • After all scores are witnesses and approved, scores will be posted on the official scoreboard by the tournament official as an official announcement and the competition will be officially closed.
 
Discontinuance of Play for Inclement Weather
 
For the personal safety of the contestants and their families, when inclement weather arises, tournament official will suspend play by sounding air horns or sirens. Immediately, players should seek safe, permanent shelter or evacuate the course.
 
Privacy
 
The JGTCC receives personal information from its members and parents through website registration, membership applications, and tournament entries for the purposes of communication and participation in events. The name, age, hometown, state, country, event location, tournament date, host course, scores for each round, are reported to the Junior Golf Scoreboard. It is the policy of the JGTCC to otherwise never share any personal or financial identifying information supplied by members or parents to the JGTCC to any third-party.
 
Publicity, Broadcasting & Media Coverage
 
Contestants are considered to be in the “public domain” while competing in tournaments, before, during, and after play. The JGTCC may photograph, video, and arrange for publicity and media coverage for all contestants and all tournaments and special events. By their registration, each entrant consents to the release of their image (photo and video) for public relations, marketing, and promotional purposes, and to the release of references about themselves and their, including use on the JGTCC websites and in newspapers and related media.
